Both lupus and multiple sclerosis are autoimmune diseases, in which the immune system goes amok and attacks healthy parts of it.
In multiple sclerosis, the immune system destroys the myelin sheath or the fatty covering of nerves. This can lead to loss of signal transmission.
Can be in lupus, neurological symptoms are things such as convulsions and neuropathy, or nerve pain. The mechanism is not by the Lupus causes of these things the same as in September
It is more complicated, but to be simple, lupus can affect many organs in the body (systemic systems), MS in the first place, the nervous system and muscles.
